Most of us dread the word deadline, which includes few 'drop-dead dates'. Instead of the word deadline, I am going to call them 'dreamline' from now on. The project that I've undertaken happens to my client's dream and they're pumping money and resources to make it a reality. Along the way, my client should envision their dream and not worry about tedious work falling through the cracks. The secret to love the work we do all the more is, if we as a team, continuously view each aspect of our project as part of a wonderful process that's taking shape. The idea is that my client should savor the process and not slave through it.
From here on out, I’m going to make my team think of our project timelines as pathways to goals that lead to big dreams rather than work being done to meet dreamlines. The word dreamline comes handy when my team is staying awake and working long hours, while others are sleeping on soft beds and slowly drifting into dreamland.
Having said that, it's going to be a busy schedule ahead for my team to delivery our client's dreams within those speculated dreamlines. Apart from staying busy, the process will involve numerous sacrifices, handling conflicts and managing stressful situations.
As a person with very limited I.Q and abilities, I've to work smarter making use of resources at my disposal. Time is not on my side and I probably won't have a chance to update this site regularly.
